[OOC]

Right. Well, me being Emma has been a good run. But since the old ones I've been RPing with are no longer on MBP, I must say that it'll be nice to have a change of character for once. So I'll be around but not as Emma anymore.

Be nice to [info]ecdwatson, as she is now the new official Emma.

From Tokyo [19 Nov 2005|01:18pm]

Hey everyone. So the movie's out. Hope you all see it.

I'm in Tokyo and enjoying Japan immensely. It's so fun here. These past two weeks have been so crazy. But hey, I got to return to NYC and see the City again. It's fab.

London Madness [07 Nov 2005|01:10pm]
[ mood | accomplished ]

Comments on the Premiere:

1) I can *not* believe it was possible to have that many people in one space. Someone made a comment that if the premieres keep getting bigger and bigger, well, the last one might have to be held at Piccadilly Circus instead of Leicester Square. Or something.

2) Yes it was raining but NO it was *not* that cold. I would've worn a jacket or cover-up if I was (like at the photocall).

3) Velvet is sexy but too much of it ... is ... unnerving?

4) So many interesting people came. Kate Beckinsale is pretty.

5) I changed outfits from the actual premiere to the after-party. I love being hard-core like that. It wasn't exactly a little black dress but it was black enough and it kind of went low enough. On second thought, maybe I shouldn't try that flapper thing again. Vintage dress yes (the 1920s were just awesome!), flapper hair, maybe not.

One down, one more to go. Then a month or so catching up at school and ... then ... back to filming OotP again.

Marks & Spencers [30 Oct 2005|06:26pm]
[ mood | awake ]
[ music | Sheryl Crow - iPod ]

Hm. Crowds usually don't scare me. After how many premieres, I should be used to it.
Today was just ... wow. Crazy!Mad.

Let me explain --- Marks & Spencers stocked up some costumes based on the Yule Ball costumes in Four, and they had a contest and everything and invited me to go. So I decided to go, a new experience and all that. When I got there there was a HUGE group of people.

I went into the store and did the obligatory photos with a couple of the kids in the costumes/dresses robes... and then all broke loose. Everyone was pushing, shoving ... it's just overwhelming and scary. The kids in the front were about to get trampled or so I thought. But yeah, I had to go away until they calmed down --- I told them I'd come back out once the crowd has calmed down and all..

It was pretty overwhelming but fun --- I tried to give as many autographs as I can. At any rate, I'm still giving quite a few interviews (I'd probably had done more than a hundred of these, probably) and the premiere is in a week -- the London one.

Whoa.

Hey everyone.

The press wheel is spinning round --- I'm going to be busy the next couple of days.

At the end of the month (the thirtieth), I'll be due for signing and judging at Marks and Spencers (in London, Marble Arch) --- and the premieres a week or evenless after.

Whoa. Insane schedule coming up the next few weeks.

*grins* I love being busy.

More later, when I've taken it all in and actually had time to breathe.

Whew. Got through the first press conference for GoF.

It was nice seeing everyone there, seeing everyone again.

Thank God Dan saved me -- I certainly did have some foot-in-mouth moments there. I'm glad everyone was nice and welcoming and ... energetic, I guess.

And the spy camera Rupert was talking about is REALLY awesome. I still stick to my iPod though.
*grins*

Gah. Two weeks till the premiere. Can't wait!

Teen Vogue ... Heh [05 Oct 2005|12:06am]
My friend woke me up to tell me that the current issue of Teen Vogue has me on the cover. I was so nervous doing that shoot but overall I think it came out well.

I haven't gotten my hands on the issue yet --- someone will probably give me a copy later today.

And the press wheel is now starting to go round.

I Heard [28 Sep 2005|03:08pm]
[ mood | angry ]
[ music | Alex's loud music ]

Right. Apparently, I was cast in the movie "Airborn" as Kate DeVries. There isn't a bit of truth to this, as I didn't even know about this rumour till recently. I mean, I do receive scripts but there isn't any one that I'm interested in at all right now. I've been keeping busy with school and soon the press junkets for Four will start so ... there's really no time to film anything.

Dan's lucky he has the luxury of being able to film in between the promotionals for four and the start of filming for Five. And in Australia nonetheless. THEN AGAIN, he's done with his GCSEs. I've still got to prepare for mine.

I cleaned up my F-List a little bit, added some and took some off (the ones with the strike through them) so my userinfo looks ... a little bit cleaner.

I heard that in some places the new GoF calendars are now available. Buy them and enjoy!

My friend from Paris just called and said that the lot of them (my Paris friends) are coming over to London this weekend. I'm so excited, as I haven't seen them in ages and I get to take them shopping and dining around London. I'm planning to take them to the new salsa club. It'll be so much fun!

XOXO

Not much going on. Still shopping for my dress for the premieres.

Oh, and I'm alternately getting Alex to stop bugging me or giving him girl advice.

And I'm glad Katie and Robert are starting their press rounds. I've read some of their interviews and kind of got the feel for what the press will ask about this movie.

It's good to be prepared.

Oh, and Happy Belated to the one and only Tom. I hope your eighteenth was great!

[ music | "FRIENDS" ]

Hey everyone.

Life has been quiet lately. I've been going back and forth between France and UK for most of the holiday and now school's started up. It's great to be back for at least a few weeks. I don't know how long Mum and Dad will let me be out of school and doing promotionals and press junkets, since this time it's my turn to prepare for and take the GCSEs and we start filming Movie 5 in January. Gah, so nervewracking. I feel better about cracking open a GCSE practice book and thinking there is a possibility that I can possibly pass this thing but still. NOT THAT CONFIDENT about it yet. *bites nails*

Oh, and I know it's been pretty quiet in my life lately but that's probably due to the fact that filming is done and the press and promotional rounds haven't started yet and life is really ordinary and consists of a lot of cooking and coursework .... but once the press rounds happen, this place will be a storm of observations, anecdotes, and probably reactions on the outfits I've decided to wear. New pics keep coming out from GoF and I've been shown a couple of them. I think they look good! New ones will keep popping up every so often during the next two months so ... uhm, fans should keep on the look out for those.

OOOOOHHH! Katie and Robert have been seen hanging out at the "Dukes of Hazard" premiere and they look adorable. Katie's so pretty. I love how she fixed her hair and her handbag and her SHOES. Her shoes are to DIE for -- they're wicked.

Right. Off to tackle some coursework.

THEN start thinking about what dress to wear to the London premiere on November 6 and the NYC premiere on November 12. *sigh* Shopping is SO much fun.

I miss everyone, I really do. Mike, Alfonso, Rob, Stan, Rupert, James, Oliver, James (Grint), Genny, Matt, Jamie, Devon .... EVERYONE. Especially Dan. Still jealous he's gone to the Australia/New Zealand area for the holiday. Oh, and not to mention he'll be filming there once the GoF press-mania has died down a bit. AND he's done with GCSEs. Some people just have *all* the luck.

XOXO - Emma

A Bout of Insomnia ... *sigh* [14 Aug 2005|05:30am]
[ mood | awake ]
[ music | Anna Nalick ]

Wow. Three weeks without updating. What can I say? I’ve been really busy catching up with school earlier in the holidays and shuttling back and forth the rest of the time between the UK and France to spend time with the other side of the family.

Missing everybody horribly --- it’s not the same without any of my friends on the set. I do hang out with my other batch of friends but at the moment they’re all off abroad on holidays as well so that’s that, I guess. I talk to them on my mobile a lot and check my emails quite frequently but it’s still not the same.

*sigh* I swear. My Mum raised me to develop that certain discreetness of the Frenchwoman but sometimes, I feel like I should show my snarkiness more and that Dan and I should just play snarky and a bit sarcastic with the press at one point during the press junkets for ‘Goblet’ so that rumours ) or anything like it won’t happen or something.

Like, maybe we should give this kind of interview: )

Honestly, people. Is that what you guys want to hear or something? Do we have to tell you what you want to hear so that the rumours will stop? And do even know how I heard about this? My friends were CALLING me about it.

I do spend a lot of time with Daniel and I miss him when I’ve not talked to him or anything like that, but even then, we’re not really going out. We’re TOO YOUNG for anything serious … really. He has said he’s single ---- and so have I. I’ve said in this one interview that schedule - basically, life - is so busy and filled with activity right now that I can’t juggle a stable relationship in the middle of all of it. I’ve got GCSE’s coming up, Dan (and for that matter Will as well) has his A-Levels to start prepping for starting around next month, AND I’m betting he’s planning how to deco his new room in their new house in Australia.

*sigh* It’s … wow … it’s just crazy. Honestly, Will and I have hung out a couple of times but that’s not really “going out” --- it shouldn’t BE ‘going out’ in anyone’s book. “Stepping out”, at this point, is even pushing it --- seriously. I don't really have to define my relationship with anyone to the public, do I?

And what’s it to anyone if I’m dating Will or Dan or whoever? It’s not really any of their business; it’s mine and my family’s. When we promote the movies --- well, we’re promoting the WORK we did and the heart we poured into making it, we’re NOT doing these press junkets so you’ll take interest in our private lives. We’re doing this to promote ourselves in terms of our work and performance, not going out there with our hearts on our sleeves or something. But whatever. I accept that this kind of stuff goes along with being an actress working on such a big project like ‘Potter’ but it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t bother me or anything like that.

With an apology for the rant and that sentiment in mind ----- parts of the official site (gobletoffire.com, is the address I think) is open. Take a look and watch for updates. I love their layout on this one! And watch for the costume of the Beauxbaton students ---- they’re AWESOME.

And I reread bits of “Naughts and Crosses” by Malorie Blackman again and that book never fails to amaze me at how good it is.

More later, then …

Au revoir!
XOXO --- Emma

London and Bombs [07 Jul 2005|04:11pm]
[ mood | numb ]
[ music | Launch.com Via Yahoo.Co.UK ]

How could this happen?

London's such a vibrant place full of wonderful people ... it's so disheartening to hear that people are so hard-hearted as to harm the innocent on their way to work and just getting on with their day.

What scares me the most is that I was in London for the "Wedding Crashers" premiere (where my braces were debuted; thank god I only have to get them on the top set of teeth for now) and I was planning to stay there till Friday but at the last moment, I had to go back to Oxfordshire the day following the premiere. I would've been riding the tube on the way to Harrods if I was in London today.

I'm glad to know that Daniel's okay. I was fretting about it all morning ever since we heard what happened on the telly and I've been trying to call him but the phones in London (and the Fulham area at that) weren't working and I finally checked the Net and he updated so I know he's okay. Thank god he is. I don't know what I would have done if I heard something happened to him.

London, mine and my family's thoughts, prayers, sympathies, and love are with you....

[ music | a movie Alex put on ]

Hey everyone.

Just a quick update .... even though there's really not much to say. I've been pretty busy with coursework, as the GCSEs are coming up for me soon .... at least Dan and Rupert and Tom have finished theirs and I've got a lot of people to go to for advice...and for old GCSE review materials or something. I do know that Dan said that the Spanish was *not* that horrible. Gracias a Dios. *giggles*

England's really warming up quite a bit lately (not as rainy as it was a couple of days ago) so I think I'll go to the indoor pool at the nearby Youth Center or something and swim a few laps.

It's been great here in England. Get to spend more time than usual with the Mum, Alex, and the galpals. And Dan and Bonnie too, as a matter of fact. I think I have cat envy --- Bonnie's cat is *so* adorable, more adorable than mine. Oh! Bonnie needs to IM me or call me sometime cause I got a few toys for Bubbles and Domino and got Sushi some cat toys too.

Speaking of Daniel ---- I called him a while ago and found out he landed a part in "December Boys", which will be filming in Australia or something after all the promotionals and premieres for the new movie are all done. I've never been to Australia but I think this is Dan's second time there or so (I think --- he went there on winter holidays a year ago or so) and he's been raving about it. He really likes it there ... I'm so happy he's landed a part though I dunno how weird it'll be seeing him kiss someone onscreen or something since I've kinda known him when he was a scrawny, shortish ten-year-old and I was a freckled, frizzy-haired nine-year-old and now we're all grown up (and taller) somewhat. Heheh --- congrats to Dan for landing the part. And for getting signed up for Movie 5. That's going to be the most fun book, I think, cause there's loads of new characters and much more adventure. AND THE RIDE ON THE THESTRALS (maybe it'll be like Buckbeak and I'm going to be on a bucking Bronco again....)! It's not official yet but since Dan's doing it, I'm seriously thinking of staying signed up for Five, we'll see what the studio will contract me with or someting....

I'm psyched to read the new Harry Potter book, though I don't know how long it'll take me to finish it. I've preordered it though so I know I'll have my copy on July 16. Preorder your copies so you can get them discounted and guaranteed a copy!

All right. I must go pay attention to the movie now. Alex is giving me dagger-eyes.
Later then, dwarlings.

Hey everyone.

Back in England for now. It's so exhausting commuting back and forth. And Dan asked nicely. Mum was surprised when I told her I was home. She wasn't expecting me at all till maybe next month. It's nice surprising your parents.

Alex was happy to hear that I'm back and can't wait to show me what he did in art class. He says he's also been trying to cook so he'll make breakfast tomorrow. Heh. I can't believe my brother is cooking. He hates doing stuff around the kitchen......you have no idea how many times he gets me to do his chores for him (especially when it comes to loading and unloading the dishwasher, ugh!)

Uh, I heard the news that a couple of people were trying to steal copies of Potter Six AND sell them to tabloids. Kind of sad, really.

Oh, and apparently it's the slimy git Ferret Boy's Birthday today (June 5). Go adore Tom cause he plays Ferret Boy so well.

I HATE IT WHEN THIS HAPPENS [26 May 2005|12:03pm]
[ mood | annoyed ]
[ music | Kaiser Chiefs Heheh ]

First off, I thought I would've been done with those jeans in time for them to be auctioned off. Then the studio decided that they're going to change my shooting schedule. ARRRRRRGHGHGHGHGHGHHGGHGHG. So I couldn't finish those jeans! *ksfjasfjajfasljfaj* I really wanted to have them ready and participate in the auction but DAMN IT .... it didn't happen.

Secondly, my Mum and Dad decided that my brother *can't* go to France for this long Bank Holiday weekend because they want him *and* me to spend the weekend with both of them --- half the weekend with Mum and half the weekend with Dad. So I guess I'm coming to England this weekend. Bleeeergggghhh. I was hoping to take my brother scuba diving around Le Havre but that's *not* going to happen.
That's okay, though I guess, since when I'm home, more often than not, Mum and Dad do something fun on these long weekends (they actually take the time off from work --- they're working on new cases almost every two weeks or so!) and there's a new restaurant opening up by my Dad's office and he promised me and Alex dinner there some day.

Now I'm off to see if I can do something with the chicken in my freezer --- it's lunchtime and I'm starving!

*laughs* Hi James! It's SOOO good to see you around. Rupert should take you to visit the set more often! And speaking of the devil, tell your brother that he needs to pop up once in a while! Oh, and do you and Rupert want to go to the V-Fest concert?

Bonnie --- call me! Maybe you can meet me at the train station in France, then we can go shopping, and I'll head back to England with you for the weekend.

Talked to Bonnie last night. Making plans to go to the V-Festival. So far it's only Bonnie and I who are going --- I really want to surprise Dan with tickets to the Festival as his birthday gift (which is coming up soon ---- exactly two months away; some of his favorite bands are going to be playing in the Festival) but I don't know what Marcia's and Alan's plans are for his birthday. His parents make these elaborate plans for his birthday and it's awesome. *le sigh* I guess some of us are just naturally spoiled *sticks tongue out* I'm the oldest of two --- I tend to spoil my younger brother as much as I boss him around (or so he says). You have no idea how much younger brothers can whine. But I love mine anyway. He's spending the end of this month (the weekend of the 28th to the 30th) with me here in France to get away for a while from the parentals, as that weekend is a long one because it is a Spring Bank Holiday .... *cough*cough* ....

The recital went well. The salsa routine went of without a hitch and Ben, my dance partner, was really good with the salsa. We did this one flip move where I thought he was going to drop me --- I was *so* nervous. Had dinner with the parentals afterward. Had the most *amazing* Thai Chicken salad ever.

*looks at her userinfo* And oooooohhhh. I missed my LJ anniversary. And I think I need new icons.

And everyone! As soon as ebay has them up, bid on the jeans that some of us, well, "celebrities" designed. It's for a really, really good cause... Girls Inc and their work is really amazing in helping girls grow up strong and confident.

Stop It Already OMFG [08 May 2005|11:28pm]
[ mood | annoyed ]
[ music | Usher. Live With It. ]

Okay. Technical issue with the link on my userinfo. Fixed now. I checked. [TYVM!!!!]

Yes. My friends saw the newsreports for the Potter Four. Called me up and said "Aren't you supposed to be wearing BLUE?" . *rolls eyes* Hey, we did WARDROBE COLOR TESTS for these things. Ask the costume lady why it wasn't blue. I think blue would've blended too well with the white ... and clashed with Stan's costume. I did like the dress though. It was great fun to dance to...and so comfortable. Though there was a TON of hairspray on half of my hair that day. And I looked SOOOOOO white. I'm so pale it's like "I'm a vampire"! I never knew how much one person can be caked with makeup! I normally don't use that much at all!

Oh, and yes. Whatever Dan might tell you otherwise, he really is a great lead. Stan's actually not a bad dancer at all, but both of us keep forgetting the golden rule of ballroom dancing: NEVER look at your feet while you're dancing. It's not good, not good at all! It's something to get used to.

I called my Mum for Mother's Day. Her and my Dad told me I had to go back home for a while. I *might* possibly go back to England in the middle of next week, maybe Wednesday and stay through till Sunday. If not, I'll leave Thursday and come back to France Monday. *sigh* I do hate leaving the house here in Le Havre empty, though.

*raises eyebrows* Dan has stayed rather close, hasn't he? *blushes* )

[ music | Some Desperate Housewife special on cable ]

Well, the fans should be happy. Dan, Rupert, and I are hosting the extended showing of the HP2 to be aired on the US channel ABC, and we'll be talking about HP4. Who knows what behind the scenes stuff they'll show along with it (us three have absolutely no say in how this thing is edited) ---- but I *do* hope that they'll show a bit of the cast doing some ballroom dancing. That should be fun. It's always great watching people dance ---- and the cast was actually good at it, too. May 13 is when the trailer will premiere so watch out for that too.

Oh, and can I just say that Tennessee Williams's "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" is awesome? Yes it is!

I had breakfast with Clem and Chris a couple of days ago and I made my killer pancakes. Clem brought some ingredients to make homemade whipped cream. Damn, so good. We used some at breakfast and I made Clem take some back home ---- but the rest that stayed with me at Chez Charlotte I put in the freezer. I'll use half of it for whipped cream ice cream and the rest I'll use to make gelato, once I find a decent recipe. Yum.

This is just a quick update....I'm going to go through my FList and adding people within the next few days or so.

Much love everyone!
